What we think
Our policy positions on key prostate cancer issues
The Charity is currently developing a range of policy positions that describe what we think about key prostate cancer related issues. These positions are used to inform our campaigning work and our response to Government consultations. The positions currently available are:
- At a glance - Screening and the PSA test
- Full policy position – Screening and the PSA test
- Self-test kits
- The use of animals in research
- Access to Clinical Nurse Specialists for men with prostate cancer
More policy positions will become available as they are developed.
What we’ve said
Responses to Government consultations
The Charity seeks to improve the experience, treatment, care and support of people affected by prostate cancer by making sure that the voice of people affected by the disease is heard by Government policy makers. One of the ways we do this is through responding to Government consultations.
Recently, we have responded to the following consultation(s):
June 2009
All Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer (PDF) (June 2009)
An enquiry into cancer inequalities in England.
October 2008
NHS Constitution (PDF) (October 2008)
A consultation on the NHS Constitution.
May 2008
Better Cancer Care: A discussion (May 2008)
A discussion about the future of Scottish cancer care.
