Gift Aid

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a simple way to increase the value of you your donation to The Prostate Cancer Charity – at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK tax payer or pay capital gains tax then you can complete a Gift Aid declaration and increase your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate. If you have already donated or plan to do so soon see how much your donation can be worth using to Gift Aid calculator below.

How does it work?

The Prostate Cancer Charity can claim back the tax you have paid on your donations if you make a Gift Aid Declaration stating that you are a UK taxpayer and that you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax, at least equal to the tax that we will reclaim on your donations (currently 25p for every £1 donated).

• Once you have filled in a Gift Aid Declaration it can cover more than one donation and may apply to future donations indefinitely.
• You are entitled to cancel your Gift Aid Declaration at any time (we will need a written confirmation, you can print the Gift aid form and select the “no” option) and any donations made after the date of cancellation will be taken out of the Gift Aid scheme.
• Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, by either ticking the Gift Aid box on our online donation form or by filling in the Gift Aid form (please see below), there is no need for you to do anything else.

What you need to do

It is as easy as printing the Gift Aid Form, completing it, and returning it to us.

Information we need?

• Your full name (first name, initials and surname).
• Your home address (we cannot accept work addresses).
• A signature.
• A tick in the box indicating that you pay an amount of tax or capital gains equal to that of any donations you make.
