Annual Review
The Prostate Cancer Charity Annual Review 2008/2009 is a summary of how far we have come over the over the past year in our fight against prostate cancer. It has been a particularly challenging year financially, however the Charity has managed to make significant progress across all of our areas of work; research, awareness raising, fundraising initiatives and support services that we offer to men affected by prostate cancer and their loved ones.
Inside the Annual Review, you'll find highlights of this work, including the first Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a successful 'Movember', and a significant £1M plus investment in scientific research.
The Annual Report looks back on the Charity's activities and financial performance during the past year. The Report is designed to give an open account of the Charity's work and compares the Charity's aims with its actual achievements. The Annual Report breaks down each department's individual performance in terms of its priorities and financial assessment. It looks at what each department intended to do in 2008/09, what was actually achieved and what is planned for 2009/10.
